Winter of 2003-2004 Discussion

#1 Postby Anonymous » Mon Nov 03, 2003 2:23 pm

Hello fellow weather enthusiasts:

I am new here and have enjoyed this site, your discussions, and weather forecasts.

Living in the Mid-Atlantic, we had a rough winter last year with above normal snowfall. In fact, one storm alone dropped 30 inches.

Looking at many forecasts, many suggest the East will be cold and snowy again.

I certainly hope this is right.

However, history suggests that this winter will not be as rough as many are predicting. In fact, my research points to normal temps and below normal snowfall for my area the Mid-Atlantic. In all my years, very rarely did we have two bad winters back to back.

I saw where King of Weather is predicting below normal temps and above average snow. Let's hope he's right.

Welcome BigEyedFish!

I'll agree with you here...rarely does the Ohio Valley get 2 bad winters b2b...We'll see if it verifies...

Welcome BigEyedFish!

I live in Iowa (Quad Cities) and we have seen only a fraction of average snowfall in the past two seasons, I too hope for an average/above average year!!
