FORT WORTH, Texas - City Councilman Clyde Picht makes sure he tucks a plastic bag in his back pocket whenever he takes his dog, Mose, for a walk.
That way, he'll be able to clean up any droppings that the Airedale leaves behind.
But not everyone is as courteous.
"It's irritating to have dogs use your front yard as their bathroom," Picht said. "I would prefer people clean up after their animals. It's simply good manners."
Picht is exploring ways to make residents clean up after their pets, such as creating a "pooper scooper" ordinance -- a law already in effect in many cities.
Some just pooh-pooh poop scoop proposal

Well, I have a dog that will not go anywhere but home, but sniff piles out all the time. So I've never stepped in it, thanks to her! My daughters' former Elementary is just across the street from us. We walk our dog over there a lot. I don't want any pats on the back for this, but I finally decided to take on the many piles left for unsuspecting students to step in. I bring several bags with me and scoop them up. Each time it burns me up, letting pets do this, around a school no less! How rude.
