Hi Everyone- Just wanted to thank you all for the prayers and good wishes....It works wonders :) Doing ok, found out I am highly allergic to morphine and demoral the hard way, but other than that...getting along well.

Thanks for starting this thread Big Guy..your family is in my prayers as well. God be with you and those affected by those terrible fires...Poppa Sky the same goes for your family and others I may have missed, I am kinda out of the loop right now.

Cyclone, kick my butt? lol You used to do that quite well when we flew * giggles* but if it means I gotta do sumfin wrong to get ya up this way "on the 65" to see me, then let the games begin! LoL

Miss Mary, you are a rare jewel... and my best girl, Angel, you know I can never thank you enough for all you did.. Angel and her fella sent me the most beautiful flowers :) Next week I might go in for an ingrown toenail( if it gets me more roses ) lol j/k!!

Tracy - hello!!! You're quite welcome for all the prayers and well wishes. Sounds as if you're on the mend now. And that's pesky ingrown nail, well, I imagine that won't be as bad as what you just came thru (if you needed Morphine!). Oh BTW, I discovered I'm allergic to Morphine too. Seems after any major operation, that's the first choice for pain. Well, I was itching like crazy. Your nose itches the most, I could not scratch it enough. Here I was all loopy on pain meds and scratching like nuts. Then they gave me Benadryl to counteract the itching. Which made me even more loopy! Finally after 24 hours of this, they switched me to Demerol and I was fine. So now plastered on all my patient charts is - ALLERGIC to Morphine. Shame you can't take Demerol though, cause it works just like Morphine does. Cuts the pain, or dulls it I should say. I was told later there are many people allergic to Morphine! I had to ask - then why in the world don't you just go to Demerol? For some reason, they first choose Morphine. But one nurse told me you can always tell a user by the way they itch their nose, which is a definite sign you're on Morphine. Didn't expect to get a little medical FYI moment there did ya? :-)
