What a crazy steering setup that the GFS is persistent on. This could be catastrophic if this ends up landfalling over S Florida and ends up stalling.

The GFS is making something clear over the past few runs...if 94L doesn’t take this with it, it will get left behind to do something... no trough coming to immediately sweep it out.

How much of an influence would 94L have on this system, should it evolve, have on the steering patterns?

So just to top it all off, the very end of the GFS run, it runs it straight Sw into the Yucatán and then begins to develop a new system in the Caribbean in its wake. Wtf is going on?

Looks like the potential system may want to stay put down there....away from all that dry air...

Maybe this system is making up for Florida's luck so far. If the dice fall right, this system can potenially make 3 landfalls in Florida.

Naturally being in Key West, I am really starting to pay attention to what may develop.

8 PM:

A broad area of low pressure is expected to form in a few days
over the southwestern Caribbean Sea. Some gradual development of
this system will be possible through the middle of next week while
it moves slowly northward or north-northwestward over the western
Caribbean Sea.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent
