How many named storms will form in the Atlantic during November?

#1 Postby CyclonicFury » Fri Oct 16, 2020 5:01 pm

November is a not a very active month historically for the Atlantic basin. It averages less than one storm a year but the majority of years have a TC or STC form in November. How many named storms do you think will form in November this year?

I'm going go off on a limb and predict 2, which would be the first occurrence of two or more November TC formations in the Atlantic since 2005, which had 3.

Based on what this season has been able to in terms of named storms, I'm going with 2

Two, at least one in the Subtropics. Not sure about the other.

Total of three named storms during November. One of them will reach hurricane intensity in the W. Caribbean or S.E. BOC. But wait folks, there's more. Order now and also receive at no extra cost, a named storm in December too (shipping not included).

I'm going with 3, because why not. To be honest I don't think anything will surprise me anymore this season.

I'll say 2-4 with 2-3 being most likely.

If more, maybe a couple/few will go out to sea.

Going with 3. All of them hurricanes (two being high latitude storms that transition from ET), with one major (in the Caribbean).
