Best I can do from home is a shot from our server with ship reports plotted around 96L. I drew in streamlines along low cloud motions. It does look more like an open wave today. Just a bit of rain and some gusty wind for the lower peninsula of Florida. Nothing to worry about there. The trend for the past 2 days has been for weakening, not strengthening. And with only about 12-18 hours before it reaches south Florida, it's not likely to strengthen very much.
Caribbean wave looks impressive, but is encountering tremendous shear. May be a player in 2-3 days if the upper low associated with 96L weakens and/or moves off to the west.

One of the CMC ensemble members a couple of days ago actually shows the Invest shearing out and weakening, but in its place, the Caribbean wave being draw northwest and strengthening (incredibly) ... That was an extreme solution and I totally discarded it ... however, the overall idea of the CMC was there were to be two systems to watch, not one ... there's the second system to monitor in the next few days.
