Will be balsy and go with 190 mph and 890 mbar upon landfall however I think it will skirt the peninsula and maintain its mojo through the gulf. The thing is...storms of this intensity often create their own environment and not much can stop them when they are over open, very warm waters. The western gulf is steaming hot as well and I don't see any reason this won't be a historically strong for this late in the season Category 4 landfall for Louisiana. Scary times.

This is surprisingly less bold than I originally thought this was going to be when I made it yesterday.

902 mb/175 mph before first landfall on Cancun - I think this will be peak intensity, though the Gulf is plenty warm and the incredibly favorable upper-level environment remains until the last half of a day before the likely Louisiana landfall.

I’m gonna say anywhere from 155 mph / 924 mb to 165 mph / 916 mb. Thinking it may be more towards the former one though. Depends on what happens tonight really.

This pause in its pressure drop rules out a 875 mb hurricane, the chances are going down for a sub-900 mb even if it deepens near a record pace til the Yucatan. For Delta to get to 890-900 mb the next 10 hours will have to be freakish and the fast movement and Gamma gambit make me question this. Its got 15-17 hours of quality time left.
