Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 10:30 PM EST on November 1, 2003

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
A large and complex low pressure system centered about 500 miles
east-northeast of Nassau in the Bahamas is moving toward the west
southwest and could become a subtropical or tropical cyclone at any
time. Even if it does not develop...this system is forecast to move
toward the west-southwest or west and bring heavy squalls to
portions of the northern Bahamas and Florida during the next day or
two. Interests in these areas should monitor the progress of this
disturbance.
Additional information can be found in high seas forecasts issued by
the National Weather Service...under AWIPS header nfdhsfat2 and wmo
header fznt02 kwbc.
Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through
Monday.

The center is still exposed....if convection develops closer to the center expect classification.

Yeah, this needs convection and moisture. Not far away from heat source, but needs to pull up the moisture. If it gets that, it could deepen quite nicely.

Since they keep saying, "including the remnants of TS Nick", won't it be Nicholas again if it forms?
