Now, it's my big brother...

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Sat Nov 01, 2003 1:02 pm

I learned last night that Cliff (the older brother who passed out at the wheel a few weeks ago) has a 6cm tumor on his thyroid gland, and they are removing it this coming Wednesday; it was discovered during his hospital stay after the accident.

He said that he would welcome any prayers, and that he never underestimates their power...please, if you have a chance this weekend?

UPDATE ON DEBI'S GRAnDMA...

She is in recovery in ICU, but is suffering from "senile dementia" (doesn't recognize people or things, combative, sudden rages), and Debi is going to her hospital with her mother to spend the night watching her. The staff has already stated that they are incapable of "handling" Thelma...maybe some family around her might prove helpful.

Perhaps that accident that he had was a blessing in disguise huh? My prayers going out to your brother and you and your family!

I'm sure that Debi and the rest of the family going to see her Grandmother will help Bill.

Bill, we're cranking up the prayers several more notches here on the Upeer Texas coast!! Know that Cliff and You and the whole family are being smothered in prayers.

This has been a rough year for a lot of our Storm2K wxbuddies that's for sure.....rest assured my dear friend, Cliff will be raised before the Father as well as the rest of the family.

UPDATE ON FAMILY...

Stepson Tony is to go into the doctor tomorrow afternoon somewhere in West Palm Beach; he's taking pain meds PRN, using a prescription nicotine patch, and it is the MD's opinion that the lung may reinflate in time.

Grandma Thelma was doing better today; more lucid, less aggressive.

Brother Cliff had to drop his weekend "gigs" in Madison and Chicago, doctor's orders...no stressful activities, OR travel, before surgery.

Thanks, you guys.... :D

I'm sorry that Cliff had to drop his gigs in Madison and Chicago, but he has to do what he has to do. I'm sure that he has a great reputation in the music industry and that he'll be able to pick up where he left off later!

I'm also glad to hear that everyone else has "stabilized" and I hope that this is a sign of good things to come!
