I'm thinking Alabama landfall now. The center reformed pretty far east.

Maybe as far east as Panama city you think?

I don't see it making that far east thankfully. Cannot rule out pensacola though.

Sally's organization on radar has really improved over the last hour or so. Instead of the amorphous precip blob that previously existed, it now has a much more consistent banding structure with a partial eyewall setting up. Large area of 70-85mph winds aloft in that NE quad too.

Here's a radar loop that goes all the way back to when it was an Invest in the Bahamas until now http://flhurricane.com/imageanimator.php?570

Agreed. This should be a hurricane fairly soon if current trends continue.

Still lookin' blobby. Not much convective organization around the CDO (yet) but it's getting there. Definitely had a good DMAX.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Do you know if recon is heading back out soon?

Seeing some banding features appearing in the core on IR now as well.

I imagine with her moving so slowly, beach erosion from Cape San Blas west might be pretty awful.

Velocities have shot up substantially in the NE quad, and continue to increase in each frame. 94mph now. I think this is probably a hurricane now, if the low levels have caught up. Gotta have recon confirm though.

They are still out and making a run back to the center.

It still looks like Sally is moving WNW slowly but steadily.

Maybe Destin?

Considering is due south of Destin now, it would have to turn north now which I don't think is happening. I think our landfall area will be the AL/FL line to Pascagoula.

If that dry spot in the IR is the center then we got a big problem.

Looks like convection is almost fully wrapped around the center now, unless I’m seeing something else
