If Sally were going to really get explosive intensification, we would have seen signs of it by now. It will in all likelihood gain some strength before landfall but my question is why do we root for these storms to go from tropical strength to cat 3? I would rather it just be a minimum cat 1 or below and do as little damage as possible.
