Here is the transition live and in color on IR for as long as it lasts.

https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/sat/sat ... product=ir

That looks like it is coming ashore a lot further south than predicted. Will it start over land further to the west ?

Same's happening here in Central-eastern NC, been raining nearly all day which is just great for an approaching cyclone.. lol. I can't even fully tell what's associated with Isaias and what's not, though these seem to be seperate storms.

Last minute prep finished. I know I over did it, but I'm still squirmish from the beating Florence did to my home, so it makes me feel safer. Better to be overly safe, than regretful later. Everyone stay safe.

Tough call hip. Not sure. Center is a little raggedy on IR and Radar. There's a little blowup right at the coast which may be the old LLC, IDK. Mid level kind of won with Isaias, so it may still go a bit farther east. But I'd expect the rain to come up through South Carolina regardless. So there's gonna be a good 3-5" swath heading over toward New England. Not everyone's going to get that much, but it's a completely different situation than what we saw with Florida.

NC/SC border looks about right to me. Gonna be cutting it close though. Any wobbles is gonna throw a monkey wrench in that

Same here! Between Florence and Matthew, not worth the risks. I'm tired of repairs. We just had Lowe's install a new roof last year. Let's see how good it holds up like they say it will. This will be my husband's first time home with me and the kids during any tropical system. He retired from the NCDOT and was always working non-stop during and after these. (And winter storms) I've got how to handle everything down to a science and here he is trying to change things up on me. Not happening. Not my first rodeo at home during a storm. It is for him. I finally had to step on his manly toes and take the lead and show him how it should be done. Our kids know their roles now and what I need them to do to because we've done this so much. Now we gotta train him in his new his new role. (The one I've always done and now I'm gonna feel lost) I guess I can be the supervisor now. Tehehe

As always wind will take time to catch up to the pressure dropping. Next recon mission may find a hurricane assuming it’s still offshore by then.

Finally for once Isaias is looking like a decent tropical cyclone, of course just before landfall unfortunately. Hope folks in the Carolinas are taking this seriously and up into the NE U.S. as well. Landfall looks like it’ll near or just east of the NC/SC border at the moment.

Looking at the satellite presentation I really did not expect to see such a well-defined eye on radar. Wow, that thing looks serious.

Looks to be roughly paralleling the coast. Think first landfall will be Wilmington.
