Nice pics Brent!! Enjoy your winter moments up there. Here in DFW it started raining on the way to work at 35 degrees. Radar didn't look all that impressive this far east. We will see what the day brings.

good luck, I don't think the high end totals are gonna pan out here but its better than nothing and all I paid for so far is gas which is cheap right now

wondering if I can maybe head back tomorrow(I was expecting Thursday if the big snow happened) but we'll see how the roads are in the afternoon tomorrow, not sure yet..

Seems to my amateur eye that most of the models latest runs came in wetter for the Austin area tonight. Most are now showing at least some precip. Hopefully this trend will continue as it sounds like we will need quite a bit of moisture to overcome the dry air that the NWS mentioned in their morning discussion.

Currently 35F here and about 20% more humid than expected. If the snow comes by most likely it will accumulate rather than being moisture starved

I do want to give props to the models. This storm is behaving exactly like most of the models anticipated, and almost perfectly with the location too. The Euro reigns king once more.

Have to give local meteorologists Kevin sele some props. He stuck to his guns that this was not to be a major snow event for Wichita Falls and he was right. Went against what other local Mets were saying, even against other Mets at his own station. Respect.

Now, nice to see some snow on the ground this morning and our office is closed for the day. Kids are home for the day so we are going to enjoy some time out in the snow.

Well off to work. Dew point still 32. Another winter weather advisory epic bust for Tarrant.

Ugh. It’s not safe to be in the two eastern rows of advisories since often you get zip.

It wasn't a bust if there was the potential for winter weather. Fort Worth is at 33 degrees this hour with precip all around. There is probably freezing rain in southwest and western Tarrant County now.

It’s very hard to call this a “bust” for DFW in my opinion just because the models really haven’t been showing anything for us the past two days. In addition, the stuff we were projected to get was supposed to be from noon onwards, I don’t think anything should have led us to believe we’d wake up this morning to 3 inches of snow.

No bust, it's what I expected. It's just super hard watching wintry stuff fall one county over and being right on the line.
