18z Euro EPS is very aggressive for some kind of winter weather... maybe enough to turn the roofs white?

Re: Texas Winter 2019-2020
Sorry for not adding much of late. Been busy with work and two young ones. Hope everyone is safe tonight. As far as my chances for snow tomorrow I feel I might be in a good spot. Ponder, Tx. Thoughts?
Appreciate everyone's input into this thread. Truly a great resource.
I'll be sure and report in anything snow wise tomorrow.
My parents and extended family live in Grand Prairie, Carrollton and Lewisville. Bust night making calls for me. Everyone is safe.

Re: Texas Winter 2019-2020
Line was not all that impressive, even with the sirens going off for the tornado Warning here in Kennedale. The rotation moved just barly north of me by maybe 2 miles. Not much wind and only pea size hail. Currently there is still light rain and plenty of lightening with the occasional thunder. Much cooler too with a N-NW wind.
Time to focus on potential next system mid to late week.

Over 3 inches here in southern Grayson county. Seen water flowing in spots I’ve never seen before.

What a difference a few hours make. From a muggy 60's to a brisk north wind and already in the mid 40's. Just impressed every time a front comes through.

it has definitely gotten much colder. Not any blasting front but cooling of the column has begun. DFW continues to get rain despite the main line already gone by. Precip is wrapping around the upper feature so it will likely continue to rain on and off until the changeover in the morning. Between Lubbock and Abilene you can see precip starting to come together.

DFW is up to 1" now after only picking up about 0.5" when the main line moved through earlier.

We're headed up there to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine on Sunday for my daughter's birthday. It looks like they were in the cone (adjacent to the airport). Any reports of damage there? Just curious. I'm behind on the thread of conversations on here since I last checked the thread.

Re: Texas Winter 2019-2020
The media-hyped severe weather episode was heavy rain with a few wind gusts you'd find with your everyday cold front. Got 0.75 out of it. Beneficial! We desperately need it.

Yikes. The 0z GFS looks horrible. The cold air is pretty much all gone.

I haven't seen or heard of any damage that way. Mostly funnels and/or broad rotation. It peaked over hood/south side of Ftw. You should be good in Grapevine.

Here we go people. It is snowing where the short range guidance depicts it, much of it so far in Texas (you can toss the GFS). Not much to the north of there in Western/southwest Oklahoma. Making sort of a bee line along/towards I-20. DFW (especially north side and west side) looking like might wake up to some SNOW.

Re: Texas Winter 2019-2020
I lucked out in Cherokee County as the line passed through Maydelle. Just some heavy rain, a little wind, a little lightning, and no hail. Looks like points eastward towards the Sabine aren't as fortunate. Three tornado warnings popped up in the line in the past 20 minutes.
