It was looking like you MIGHT get some light snow in Tahoe next Thursday. However, more recent model runs indicate not much at all. I think you'll see at least a few flakes. GFS does have a big snow event there next Saturday - after you've left. Nothing in Texas for the next two weeks. Upper air pattern just doesn't look good for bringing any really cold air south to Texas.

I mean I'm gonna go to Heavenly probably regardless but I really want to see a little snow falling down in the city. The 12z Euro looks good for Tuesday Night which is interesting

As for the pattern here at least we're not further east :double:

12z Euro picking up on what the ensembles have been hinting at in the longer range. Will this system hold together or will we see it eventually trend to a track that dumps the rain east of DFW????

Westcliffe, CO? I drive through there every year on our way to Crested Butte. Awesome little town.

the 0z Euro is really wet again but again its the very end of the run also its very warm, temps are well into the 70s(could be severe weather with those temps)

Meanwhile it has two snowstorms for me in Lake Tahoe next week  while the GFS has basically nothing

Yeah, Euro is indicating snow in Tahoe Wed-Fri next week. Maybe that'll satisfy you for the winter and you'll stop all this foolish talk of cold weather and snow in Texas for the rest of this winter? ;-)

BREAKING NEWS! - South Texas Storms and my long-time cold-mongering other coworker in the cubicle next to me have been discussing the end of winter in Texas. I heard talk of no ice/snow events this winter. More later...

Well, you can blame your stupid wall on the Canadian border for that :x

Well I am an optimist so I will share something that NBC5 had on earlier this evening. My hosting isn’t working so I’ll even type it out.

Current DFW Snow Drought
15-16 Trace
16-17 .1”
17-18 Trace
18-19 Trace

Last Similar Snow Drought
42-43 Trace
43-44 Trace
44-45 Trace
45-46 .1”

Next 4 Winters after that drought
46-47 6.5”
47-48 8.8”
48-49 3.5”
49-50 1.0”

It’s cyclical as we all need to be reminded, and the historical upside looks nice.

Dead on this thread? Gee, I wonder why? Those daily pronouncements of “I see no evidence for any winter weather in the next 432 weeks!” have sucked the life out of this thread.

Portastorm, forget unsportsmanlike conduct. Flag 57 for targeting and eject him from the contest. :D :spam:

Yes sir. It’s our little heaven away from home. I love Westcliffe/Silvercliffe.
