3 storms, at least one major hurricane. Not gonna try to even guess at where they would go, but west Caribbean will spin up at least one.

3 named storms, 2 hurricanes, 1 major. The major will originate from the W Caribbean.

So far, 2019 has followed a rather similar pace to 2018, so I expect a similar amount of total storms in October (3-4, including Melissa).

I predict 3 named storms, with 1 becoming a hurricane (Melissa and Nestor (coming from PTC 16) being the tropical storms, and Olga being the hurricane). I expect Olga to form by the end of the month, originate from the western Caribbean, and peak as a C1-C2 hurricane.

Hurricanes are an amazing natural phenomena. While many are spiraling pits of evil that kill people or cause devastation, some are tame and stay clear of land.
I wish for you to

My forecast is going to bust but yours seems to be right on, feel like a hurricane at the end of the month is possible

Well, my breakdown
5 named cyclones

2 could impact the CONUS (Nestor and Olga)

Only 1 Hurricane (Pablo)

So I was good on with 2 of my 3 predictions for the month.
Not too shabby....

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

I'm thinking 2019 is likely to end with Olga, but maybe November or even December delivers surprise Pablo.
October was weaker than I thought it would be, only having one hurricane and zero majors, but it did produce quantity by having the greatest number of TCs forming in the month (6) since 2005 (8).

Yeah, based on what was said earlier on about some of the MJO indicators, I thought we'd get another Caribbean-to(possibly)-Gulf big dog. It sure showed the new GFS is still prone to latching on to phantoms at least to an extent. Nestor and Olga did happen, but only briefly existed as properly organized TCs.
