It's moving, at least for now...
Center is almost on top of WxMan 57's house now...over the last few hours, loops included, seems to be moving a tick west of due north.
So, is it gonna stall or not?

jasons wrote:It seemed to stall, but it was just a loop. Just made another jog north. It may be up to downtown Houston in a few hours at this rate. Lots of "what if's" with this one. Not behaving like the models projected. It may stall...or it may not. Who knows at this point...it's really a nowcasting situation.
Thanks. Appreciate the info. Definitely interesting to be in the middle of. Fingers crossed the east side doesn't get major flooding.

What's a good link to get rainfall totals? Been raining steady for a couple of hours here.

Thanks. Guess I should have said Montgomery but I'm close to there depending on where the gauge is.

Looks like the CoC has shifted NW again. Still moving at a decent clip, at least. That's a good sign.

Oye, look where the center has moved. It's going to be hell for the 30-40K people trying to leave Astros/Rangers game at Minute Maide Park tonight.

Looks like the center is just west of loop 610 at I10.

Aren't you in Lumberton? Looks like some decent storms just moved through that area.
It's been raining off and on all day here, a little west of Beaumont, and while I was in Beaumont today.
We're under a Flash Flood Watch through Thursday night, but maybe it'll just scoot on out of here.

I'm officially at .07" over the last 7 days. The southeast is getting hammered, but we're relatively dry in NW Houston.

With this wobble further west, i think it will stall for a bit here or move back SW for the next few hours.

The center (what's left of it) is now crossing into NW Fort Bend county. These loops are just crazy!!
It seems to be unraveling a bit now, but still, this shift to the west is not good for the Houston area. It's gonna put more of the metro area into the moist inflow later tonight.

Imelda's center is just south or me. Zero wind (not a wind event) and light rain in SW Houston. Heavier rain is to my south and southeast, it may pass mostly to my east.
Disagree on wind event. I just had sustained 40 gusts to 48...stupid fence blew down. I have had about 2,5 inches.
I must be in the eye - not a breath of wind in SW Houston.

Windy here, northwest of downtown. Definite gusts. So far rain total for the day about 1.3 inches.

It's definitely opening-up. What's left of the original LLC has now rotated SW to Rosenburg, but that's now rotating around a broader center near Westchase along BW8.
Winds were pretty gusty up here not too long ago.

It sure does look drier on the western and SW side of it.
