Oh come on, it's only been like a week or two since the last time it rained!

It doesn't seem like this summer has been bad at all to me. I haven't had any days yet where I opened the door and felt the air and just said "NOPE" and went back inside.

Then again, I might be experiencing some willful ignorance. I switch myself to overnight shift during the summertime and sleep away the hottest parts of the day.

We have been in a El Nino since "SON" of last year. A transition from El Niño to ENSO-neutral is expected in the next month or two,
with ENSO-neutral most likely to continue through the Northern Hemisphere fall and winter 2019.

https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/lanina/enso_evolution-status-fcsts-web.pdf

ENSO-neutral and El Nino Winters are the best condictions for NTX is see cold outbreaks and decent chances for frozen precip.

Broken line of storms forming just north of DFW, looks like there will be no chance at 100 today.

This past weekend was our best chance to hit 100 before the 1st of August.

From the airport reports it looks like it's between Bowie and Decatur.

Lucky you! We've hit 100 for the past six days in a row down here. Ugh. Should break the streak tomorrow.

Me and my girls just rode our bikes up to the park for some after dinner play time. 7 o’clock and it’s below 90 with a nice north breeze. I’ll take this in July any ole time.

My weather station right now...

Don’t trust the wind because of trees and the roof line.

Nice brisk north wind this evening blew over the garbage can!

Euro Weeklies are interesting as they trend both warmer and wetter over the next 6 weeks. This run goes out into the 1st week of September but I'm a bit suspicious of the output as it ends with above avg heights across all of N. America.

I don't think we go Nina this year, the atmosphere isn't predicated for it early enough. Maybe next year but the PDO won't go far negative if much at all for that...yet.

We've built ourselves another stout period of very warm Northeast Pacific warm anomalies in the EPO domain that has created a ridge dominant region. Lets see if this rolls forward into Fall and then Winter. 2019 is also averaging -NAO for the year as a whole.

Noticed it's wet out this morning in yard/streets. Looked at my gauge, and it shows 0.25". I didn't even hear it(?). Cool.;)
