200mb in the clear with two outflow channels: The front to the NW and an ULL to the East.
This may hit the water running.
Any big flare up and I would bet they scramble recon.

I really hope they do not wait too late to get Recon out there while soon to be Chantal reaches peak intensity.

their dont do last min recon so go weather data from Bahama and radar, sat pic

There is still time to get Recon out there as it looks now the turn to the-northwest is beginning and the system will remain over the water.

Perfect example of a rapid spin up TS. Anyone saying its not closed at this point or at least a td are wishful thinking..

First time dropping in for the season, and this is an interesting one. Still think whatever does form misses us here in SE FL to the east, and it doesn't have a lot of time to spin up before hightailing it out of the area anyway. But definitely looks closer to a TD now than it did not too many hours ago!

He is calling it disturbance 16...

a bit surprised to see the increase in organization with Disturbance 16 over the Bahamas this morning. However, even if it develops, impacts to Bahamas will be the same as they currently are. Gusty winds and locally heavy rains
