More rapid organization has commenced. Should continue to look more and more impressive up and even after landfall as the convection starts to wrap around (even after landfall). Looking much better:

The leader Cell has turned into a pretty substantial Hot tower starting to feed the SW "eyewall" development..

Rain bands are building and getting ever so closer to New Orleans. The bands are heading onshore coastal LA south of New Orleans. Where the training and bands setup will be key as far as how much flooding. Look at the bands over the FL panhandle and even west coast of Florida far removed from the center. The effects of this storm will be not just be around the center.

Obligatory wobble watching post—- it will need to stair step north to not miss Vermilion bay to the west. Might actually be better as it’s less populated that way.

Big burst of convection to the north of the convection "mass". Trying to wrap the center?

There is surely tons of rain in that blob. The question is who gets it.

Also looks like the center is doing another cyclonic loop..

Was the UKMet from the other day onto something here, not tracking the center but that big convection blob?

Had a really quick, but nasty thunderstorm here in Beaumont around 7:45. It thundered so loud and so close by, I thought lightning hit my house.

:uarrow: Quite possibly.. I was wondering that myself. Not so much the “CoC” being more west per se, but the rain/wind extending much further west than anticipated.

Still a lot of changes to come though.
