Kind of doubting it will fill in West.

New cells are firing but nothing west of 75. Outside of the very 1st cell that fired near Sanger, nothing has been able to get going across DFW with lots of failed attempts earlier this evening. In fact, I'm still seeing updrafts collapse as they try to go up to my N or and NW.

What’s the reason for this? Thought the Cap would have eroded by now?

Don’t want baseball hail though. Neighbor already said a shingle was gone and it rained last night.

Yeah i mean I'm glad there was no hail but at the same time a storm to cool it off would have been nice

I'm gonna venture a guess that the storms to the NE being so big stole the energy around DFW

The best area of lift (to break the cap) was just to the northeast of us. 5h System was moving in from the northwest -> southeast out of Oklahoma with the best lift moving into NE Texas and another weak disturbance out west. Monkey in the middle no good.

There is a boundary going northwest right over me and one going southeast west of Azle that will collide. Sometimes that pops something but usually not.

From nothing to boomers in about 15 min. 00z FWD sounding still SCP of 20 and 4 - 5k of CAPE, depending what you fancy to look at.

Based on current storm motion, I think those are going to slide off to our NE but the cells going up around Little Elm and Flower Mound should track towards the southern half of Collin County.
