That’s what I thought as well this morning Cerlin. Then once I got on the Sam Rayburn Tollway it immediately seemed to pick up. Ntta had done a good job of getting the brine down so the road was only slightly slick. The real action is 183 and south with the heavier precip. Multiple freeway and overpass closures and accidents in Arlington, Cedar Hill, Fort Worth and S Dallas. Ramp to I 35 w was closed near wher I work in north fw. But that’s all that I saw personally commuting from Frisco this morning.

Yep, bridges are really bad...wrecks all over DFW. Unfortunately, the terrible forecast from our forecast office played a role in this, most of the bridges were left untreated!

I’m taking a sick day today so thank goodness I’m missing some road trouble.

So much for the dry air that the hrrr was advertising last night. Even the drizzle was thought to be minor at best.
Nws did a decent job of forecasting this I thought. Discussion mentioned that they were concerned the models weren’t doing well with this system.

Looks like the D-FW area is enjoying some winter weather this morning. 27 degrees with fog and light freezing drizzle. Similar conditions here in Houston, but temps are in the mid-50s. Overnight models backed off some on next week's cold. Still doesn't look like much moisture in the cold air Mon/Tue.

We're hoping for 20F+ bust by some of those models as they did a few days ago for the past 24 hours up here . I say let them back off!

Uh no sir. We want snow and want it now! None of this next winter broken promises! In fact we'd like a freeze in April.

Re: Texas Winter 2018-2019
I think temps for Tuesday are underestimated big time. 1041MB high in OK typically brings much colder temps into SE Tx. 21 in OKC and 31 near DFW seems well below what it should be.

Looks like the DFW area is the new Freezing Drizzle Capital of Texas. Who will be next? San Antonio needs to step up.

We currently hold two titles. Freezing drizzle capital and flizzard capital.
