Agreed, outrunning the coverage essentially. Just in case, we still have to dodge a mini bullet for 12 hours. Stranger things have happened....

It ain’t over til it’s over so I wouldn’t bury Gordon
until he’s inland. As someone already posted stranger
things have happened.

It hasn't sampled the NE quadrant yet, that's where the strongest winds were last night.

Yes, see they just found stronger FL winds well NE of the center.

Pressure is rising again. The strong flow out of the east has made life very difficult on Gordon. We have likely seen peak intensity.

models seemed a little more interested again overnight...showing a cane again ladfall. I realize that its a wait and see game now but perhaps they sense that the conditions will be good for it to deepen a little today.

Thinking that Jackson county and MObile will get the brunt of the ugly weather with all this out to the east. Hopefully it doesn't get too ugly. Stay Safe!

I think that if it wasn't for the high cirrus clouds being blown to the west by the ULL to its south it's LLC would had been naked this morning,it is now well west of the deep convection. IMO.

Center might get exposed if the current trends continue...looks bad on sat loop. Big doubt Gordon intensifies much more. Beautiful morning here in Pass Christian....MGC

The Nam had a run last night where the center jumped ( got pulled) to the NE right before landfall. Looks like that could happen even earlier looking at this mess.

@hurrtrackerapp
#Gordon is currently a 65-mph tropical storm over the eastern Gulf of Mexico. He will likely become a #hurricane later today before making landfall near Biloxi, MS tonight.

Well luckily the low level flow has stayed strong enough to keep this from deepening all to much. there is still time for some modest deepening.

Rain rain picking up 35 mm/hr.
Really good cirrus stacking from the persistent towers shooting all morning.

Saved radar loop. If the latest HWRF advertised strengthening is going to happen it should be happening now.
