			GFS 240 hour 850 mb heights and temperature forecast
LOL.. That is a very impressive cold airmass shown for mid-April for much of the Eastern CONUS.  

 You would think it is mid-December looking at the extended forecast instead. So far 2018 is seemingly not allowing  Old Man Winter to leave the scene. What Spring??????  Amazing.....
Also, latest teleconnection forecasts are now hinting at the - NAO sticking around through the rest of April.
