Similar thing happening here in Frisco. Brief periods of flurries fall for about 5 minutes and then dissipate.

I always say you can learn a lot just by the clouds, how they look, how low do they hang, the coloration of the dark areas and the contrast between dark and light. I find this a very interesting and beautiful sky and can see how the rain will begin to develop heading into the nighttime hours.

It looked like Spring storm clouds with temps in the upper 60s. Wild! Raining lightly here now and 59 degrees.

Graupel mixed with sleet in Frisco collecting on cars. Thin coating thus far, some on porch. RadarScope is blowing up.

We'll put it on credit and pay it somewhere down the road...

Weather geek and a storm spotter in West Austin. Not a degreed meteorologist. Big snow fan. Love rain and cold! Despise heat!
Re: Texas Winter 2017-2018
Sleet continues to fall, wind hitting it against the window. I swear I saw a few flakes mixed in, but i'm pretty sure my eyes were playing tricks on me.
Edit: Looks like more precip is trying to develop further south/southwest of this current band.

Nothing doing. We’ve paid on that bill preemptively for years. He owes us for a few years yet to come!

Right now, as you can see from the back and forth north Texas posts, it's live cast. Don't hinge too much on model runs. Stay the course!

What am I hearing outside? I'm near Tyler TX. I'm hearing something light hit the window that sounds like sleet. I don't believe its actually sleet though. I'm sitting at about 37 degrees.

There just isn't much moisture available way up there. Some very dry air is located just north of the DFW area and it's moving southward, which will shut down the precip. The dewpoint has already dropped to 20 degrees at DFW. Moisture is fading away. Greatest moisture will be east of Austin, north of Houston, and south of Dallas-Ft. Worth. Like Houston, Austin should see freezing rain and sleet, which will make bridges and overpasses hazardous tomorrow. Maybe a little snow as the precip ends tomorrow. D-FW may see only a trace of snow again - sorry guys. I'm trying...
