When an advisory is issued please post the time that is listed on the adv and not the time zone that you live in .

The National Hurricane Center is issuing Tropical Storm Larry Advisories, Central Daylight Time, because the storm is located in the central time zone.

Alrighty, I understand what you mean.

There shouldn't be a problem with posting "5:00 PM EDT," because it is the same as "4:00 PM CDT."

Why is it that much of a problem? It does make sense to leave it the way the National Hurricane Center issues it... like I said above, the system is located in the Central Time Zone thus that is the appropriate "time stamp."

i usually use the advisory number

ie Kate #31 or

Larry #6 or Larry #6A etc

But using the NHC issued time should be the way to go to avoid confusion instead of having varying times on the same report.

The advisories for Larry are issued with CDT, while the discussions for the storm are being issued with EDT.
