First let me say my post was not meant to cause anybody to pack there bags, geesh can you imagine if that was the case in the field, Holy cow METs would be dropping like fly's. No one leaves the board no matter what Larry does. i offered a possible scenario, with every solution there should be options, would you get an operation without a second opinion. Forecasting WX is not easy, but the best way is to try and take all available information and weed the garden. Putting together a puzzle one never sees the entire picture until all the pieces are there, NO ONE tonight can tell you within a shadow of a doubt where Larry is going until the pieces of the Puzzle come together. Please Im new here and would not want anybody to leave because I had a different opinion. Nobody leaves the board.
John

I couldn't agree more John! We all have our opinions and reasons behind them. They range from the educated to the "gut" feelings. The strength of the board comes from the discussion of different ideas and weighing the merits of each! When we lose a poster we lose a bit of the diversity that makes this board strong!

Like, people, remember, this is just the internet. It's a place where 90 year old men pretend to be 14 year old teen age girls on a regular basis. It's a place where people post very intricate proofs about how GW Bush's brain is controlled by evil space aliens.
Ok, that last one might just be true.
But...
Um, personally, I think Larry will blow up to a cat 5 hurricane, park himself over my house for three days and scour the earth to bare sand, killing thousands in the process. So I don't blame you if you knock back a few beers and laugh at this fool. If you get upset about it, too bad for you.
Chill out.
Seriously, I value the posts of many different posters for different reasons. Some are obviously much more educated than this biologist is about meterology. I have learned a lot from such people over the years about the weather. For instance I got an actual explanation of what a troff is tonight! (I had a sort of vauge idea, but tonight I got got a plain english explanation.) Many act as my eyes and ears, turning me on to new web sites, showing me satelite pictures, or giving on the ground weather reports, or posting pictures. I am even entertained by obvious people I disagree with (kindred spirits, like myself), or the pyrotechnics of the occasional flame war. I sometimes even pine for the outragouus postings of the great one at PBI.
So...
While this forun is a delightful, entertaining, and educational place, ask yourself - do the little squiggly lines on the computer monitor really compare in importance to your health, to how much that cart full of groceries cost the other day, to your relationship with your parents/children/significant other, or to the ugly sounds your car was making yesterday, any of that real life stuff? I hope not.

Hey Lindaloo
I didn't mean to imply that anyone on this board is dishonest about who they are. I was trying to get across that anything on the internet kind of pales in importance to real life, so don't worry about it too much. I am kind of clumsy expressing myself sometimes. Poor social skills I guess.
I do appreciate when people put stuff about themselves in their profiles, or pictures in the gallery. It is kind of a humanizing thing to know something about the actual person who is typing out the message, even if it is only a snapshot of what they look like.

Hi wolffeeder, it is nice to meet you.
My social skills are not what I would like them to be, however, coming here to Storm2K as frequently as I have been for weeks is encouraging.
If your social skills are poor, then situations in true real life are more difficult. Then coming here and interacting with others on a subject you are interested in (meteorology) and other issues [in the other forums on this site] makes sense to have "more interaction." As Linda said, some of us really do know each other from spending time here discussing other issues, besides the weather.
I have a pervasive development disorder, I feel if I were to meet many of the members here, I would actually feel more comfortable interacting with quite a few of them, (still not sure how much of a conversation I would get into) compared to if I never at interaction on this site. (and on AIM, YIM and/or PM).
