What's Larry gonna do..?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

What's Larry gonna do..?

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Oct 02, 2003 8:47 pm

As we watch Larry meander.. the big question is what will he do.. I personally think the "slingshot" is still not out of the question but the West GOM may have to deal with this..

comments welcomed..

John to bump a thread it has to be at the bottom or to change to another page but what you did was not the right thing please if you want to bump wait for it to get to the bottom.

Larry doesn't look so good. It appears like a MLC is moving slightly south of east while the surface center continues to meander around. Shear is starting to hurt him.

I remarked to vbhoutex in a p.m. around 11:40 p.m. that IMO Larry looked sick and wouldn't even make it too Mexico as a TS....the current strong surge of cold, dry air and associated strong upper winds with this latest trough would destroy it beforehand...

If the first post-eclipse IR and WV shots of Larry are any indication, it is toast. I've seen more intense looking summertime t-storms complexes in Georgia.

I agree. A thread getting down to the bottom of page one and onto page two may deserve to be bumped up. What I meant by "bumping up posts by an hour" was that when they were getting buried and what the thread contains is an important issue to be discussed. :) Sorry about that.

Thank you, Perry. I've been watching the satellite images and loops of Tropical Storm Larry over the last several hours, and true, the storm doesn't look too good after the strengthening today; which is interesting, not too many hours later this appearance. :?

With that said, there is good reason to continue to watch the system.
