The strongest cold front yet hits the Gulf in 24 hrs. Look up north, the HIGHS today were in the low-mid 40s in southern Missouri and Kansas. That cold air is heading south toward the Gulf. Cold air advection should persist through Friday morning. Such an infusion of cold air won't help this thing become tropical.

IN other words it has a very small window to be tropical but that window is closing bigtime.
