The MCS does look like it has eyes on I-35 in central and south Texas. Getting lots of moderate to heavy rain in DFW currently with flood watches around. SE TX folks stay safe today.

Hearing thunder now. Unfortunately didn't get quite as much rain here at my house that I would have liked overnight. Just some occasional showers starting around 3 a.m. once that line moves through, there isn't any rain behind it. At least north central Texas is getting more wide spread coverage.

DFW airport has picked up 3/4ths an inch of rain this morning with a lot more rain streaming from the south/southwest. We may get more rain today than all of March

Still raining here at my house. :woo: The line has slowed a little while the individual storms are moving north along it. Overall it was a pretty good storm in my area. Got some wind but nothing major. May have had some small hail fall for a minute or so from the sound of it (we have a metal roof), but it was the lighting and the heavy rain that were the main features. Glad the rain has slowed to light moderate so any threat of flash flooding seems to be minimal as far as I can gather. I guess we are done here in Austin. Please stay safe for those in e.TX. I have family that live in Shreveport so I've been texting my sister throughout the morning.

Very sad to hear. I'm worried about my family in Shreveport. They have a couple of tornado warnings bearing down on them.

On a lighter subject, it's turned out to be a lovely afternoon. Blue skies and temps in the mid 60s! We have all the house windows open.

2.11" at DFW today which is a daily record. It has been pleasant without the severe weather up this way. Next news story will be several shots of below normal anomalies for April after a calm few days.

April averages about 3" so on good track.

Yeah, I'm thankful the storms that prompted a tornado warning in my neighborhood were behaving. Just some small tree branches down along with leaves. We only measured 0.5", which is surprising, given standing puddles in yard. It is gorgeous out now. I see we may be in for a Spring chill, maybe to make up for the ridiculous January through March warmth.
