Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday. I thought I would post a few little tidbits about the record Fall we are having here in NTX.
The Fort Worth office of the National Weather Service notes that since Sept. 1 – the beginning of meteorological fall – there have been only 21 days with temperatures below normal, and 65 days with temperatures above normal. (this is through November 27th)
November is +6.8 degrees above the monthly mean (AVG H-73.3 - L-54.6 as of November 27th)
http://www.weather.gov/fwd/displayprod?dfwnov16So it should come as no surprise that, so far, from Sept. 1 through Nov. 14, this was the warmest fall season ever recorded in North Texas. (We are still on pace for the record)
December 14th is #10 on the record list for "Latest first Freeze of the season"
http://www.weather.gov/fwd/d32dataWednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around
35. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. (it will be close let's hope we can hit 32 at the Airport)
With the rainfall we received today November is back in the positive for monthly precip. (Soil moisture content is important heading into the Winter months)
