An earlier media release from the Fiji Meteorological Service said "there is a good chance that trough could deepen into a tropical low system as it passes over Fiji" but their latest one doesn't say anything of the sort.
I'm having a tough time understanding what the models are thinking it will do... it looks kind of messed up. Like, what is going on here?

Nonetheless, if this does anything, it will be weak and it will be very soon (today or tomorrow).
