The bad part for NC and possibly VA, is that the NHC basically sounded the all clear for us yesterday, and preps in our area stopped. Now today local mets have been reluctant to stray far from the NHC statements so a lot of people did not know that chances of getting worse weather here had escalated. Now this evening they have started talking about recent treands, but it is too late to do much to prepare. I know this storm has a history of having a 20 mile wobble mean the difference between a lot or a little in Florida, but the forecast of the hard right hook yesterday were sold as the gospel. Might have been better to go a little stronger on the cautionary wording that was buried in the statements yesterday. Just my 2 cents worth, and certainly not bashing, just something that should be usedasa.earning tool.
