4 inches so far and still coming down. No really damaging winds, just good rain with occasional gusty winds.

TS Watches extended north to RI now, and it may become a hurricane again.

I'm saying that currently there is very little rain falling here. But the total of 4.30" is a lot of rain!

Most models have it going back out to sea in NC, what would going back out to sea in GA, imply for us Shore folks? Good or bad.

Center looks to be SSW of Statesboro and is heading off to the NE or NNE. I can't see this getting its feet wet again until at least NC due to the alignment of the coast and the current motion.

I don't see her going out to sea off of GA. She is passing west of SAV as I speak and moving NE.

So this will go OTS further south then modeled I would assume?

No...It appears to be right on track.

Well SAV is as far north as you can get in GA, somewhere off the SC coast, maybe Edisto?

What is amazing is that I could have easily ended up going to school at FSU and ended up in the core of the storm last night...it was literally a 50-50 tossup for so long before eventually settling on Mississippi.

Very true!! It just needs to come in farther west in the Gulf...a weaker trough would have done just that.

I'm thinking Hermine might make it into the Atlantic ahead of schedule. Does appear to be moving more eastward.

So what are the odds of this becoming a Hurricane once it gets back over the Atlantic in the next 12 to 24 hours since it hasn't lost any of its shape at all.

From what wxman57 was saying sounds like it is pretty good but that was with a stall off of Maryland.
