Just got back home from IRB.. Getting nasty.. Few lightning strikes over the gulf illuminated the night sky.. Took a short trip over the Sand Key bridge to Clearwater Beach and then back again.. I thought about staying out there until the heavier part of the band set up over us but I have work tomorrow and need some sleep soon.

you guys are getting hammered. one of my big fears..the other is the surge and I'm afraid they're both verifying

Looks to me like Hermine hooked more to the east right after landfall.

In Tallahassee. We got smacked pretty hard. 4.59" of rain. Serious winds. I believe that the worst is past us, but no power. That went at 11:00 sharp. Don't expect it to return soon. I expect a lot of tree limbs to be down on lines.

This link is for a live stream news station in Jacksonville. They are broadcasting live now.

I am in Orlando. We are next to Lake county. Things are pretty good here. There were a few tornadoes earlier tonight, but not too bad. This link is for a repeat news broadcast for Orlando which is also the Lake county viewing area: http://www.wftv.com/watch-live

The link that I gave you for wftv.com will have a live broadcast starting at 5 AM ET, and will last for several hours. If there is any news about Lake county, it will be on there.

Also this is another local station that streams. They start live at 4:30 AM ET, but you can listen to rebroadcasts anytime.

There was a report of some trees down in the Lake county area that were due to winds. I think it was talked about briefly on wesh.

Kicking in here in Jacksonville Beach. Solid 40mph winds. Should fluctuate around there through the early morning. I'm gonna take a nap and check up on the storm in a few hours.

What a horrendous night in Hernando Beach. Strong winds, lightning, and storm surge of about four feet that flooded my ground floor with about 4-5 inches of seawater. Lost power for about two hours. Sheriff's dept ran search and rescue boats up my street for the last three hours. I've lived here for 14 years and never seen tides so high!

I'm glad that's the worst of it and you're ok. If Hermine had one more day at sea, yikes! It's made enough of a mess for me to break out a chainsaw later today to clean up the big chunks of oak tree that have fallen in my yard.

One bright spot..got to meet some neighbors down the street that drove into our driveway as the tides were rising. I raised my lot a couple of feet when we built our home 14 years ago so our lot is a little higher than most. Anyway, a man, his girlfriend, and two young teenage girls came out and asked if they could stay...and of course I said yes...they had grabbed some photos and papers from there ground level house which was flooded and were trying to drive out. I'm sure glad they pulled in as I'm certain there car would have floated away and who knows what would've happened.
