I've seen several people say as landfall is commencing I'm not seeing landfall yet. Isn't it still moving easterly and have a bit more open water? Looks to me like another hour over waters if moving ene

High tide is 3:48 AM there and that is about the time that next squall line brings in some TS strength winds.

Was down at irb around, it was low tide but wow the waves. Even the surfers seemed hesitant with the rip currents

This is silly. They're still measuring higher FL winds now up to 90 KT


flight level winds are not that important when we also have surface winds. Highest wind that can be justified is 70 kts, and that is being generous

So is that the reason for those "sprinkles" you see on radar right over major cities? That had bothered me forever.

Bald point had a wind gust to 78mph which is located near Alligator Point. Wind dropped to 20mph after must be in the eye now.
