Re: 2016 ACE: ATL - 9.445 - EPAC - 98.5175 - WPAC- 39.8125
Wait... If the Atlantic had 6.845 ACE before Earl and Earl added 5.58 ACE, then shouldn't it be 2.98 ACE higher than is shown???

Where do you see Earl adding 5.58 ACE? Both CSU and Wxbell has him around 4.1 units. Atlantic should be around 10-11 depending on which source you use.

Stinky ACE.
When was the last time the WPAC was nearing it's 13th TC but only manages to produce 46.9125?
Normal YTD is 106 so only 44 percent of normal.
This monsoon gyre really is hampering the monsters...

Don't get too annoyed, it may still churn out a monster or two like was predicted a week or so ago when GFS had a sub-900 near Taiwan

Updated the ACE numbers for the three basins.North Atlantic should begin to ramp up ACE units with what will come out of Invest 90L. (Maybe a few units from 99L?) WPAC continues to get units from the many systems that are out there.EPAC is getting some more with KAY.

Gaston, Lester, and Lionrock look set to rack up quite a bit of ACE.

Hurricanes are an amazing natural phenomena. While many are spiraling pits of evil that kill people or cause devastation, some are tame and stay clear of land.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if there has ever been a year when the EPac has ended up as the ACE champion at the end of the year. I know the Atlantic has done it at least three times (1998, 1999, 2010), but many of the years the EPac is active, the WPac is too.
