Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain here at 41 degrees. Could be half inch hail.
Edit: No hail here.

We're getting thunderstorms with steady rain. Sounded like sleet or small hail but when I went outside I saw only rain
Just read about small hail in NW Austin but none here NE Austin

It is definitely looking less likely Wichita and Clay counties are going to have much to talk about when all is said and done.

I fixed it.
Radar indicated there should be some snow falling in Burnett county and surround areas. No reports of of it from the ground though. Maybe even in Fredericksburg

You can basically make out the center of vorticity of the ULL from the radar

Any chance of a changeover to sleet or snow north of Austin with the precip band moving southwest to northeast?
Small chance, but it may briefly changeover if there is precip left before dry slot kicks in. The low is very wound up places S/SW aloft is colder than other places to the north away from the ULL. For example it's a little chillier aloft in Del Rio than it is in OKC

Looks like NOAA has put us in the 0.10 to 0.25" risk for ice. Let's hope not!

The short range hires guidance has been pushing a little east and I'm encouraged the radar is still fairly filled across the state. The low looks to be deepening as it comes NE out of Central Texas sub 546dm. There will likely be light snow/flurries in the air along and near I-35 and west tonight but I'm not certain how much of the dry slot will kick in before that happens. How much it can drag backlash precip on it's backside once it matures with the surface low is often underestimated, but that's not a high confidence thing.

Radar indicating it might be snowing near Killeen/Ft Hood or some kind of a mixture. Nearby Lampassas is reporting light snow. May do that in Comanche here soon.
