What radar are you using? I see radar echoes over Carrollton, albeit light, on the NWS base reflectivity.


I was just using the ones on http://www.wfaa.com. I'm guessing theirs are not as sensitive.

Must be really good dynamics up in Kansas. Apparently a large tornado on the ground near Garden City with temp/dp at 54/53

Very large tornado up in Kansas, just north of Meade. Ive been watching the TVN Chaser feed on it and it really looks like a Greensburg redux. Very impressive radar signature on base and storm radial velocity and what looks like a large debris ball on reflectivity. Hopefully there aren't too many more like this tonight.

Looks like an active weather night ahead, currently 2 tornado warnings in Kansas, 2 in the Tx panhandle and 1 in west Tx.

I haven't been looking at the WPAC lately. I'll have to look to see what kind of trough interaction, though any recurving typhoon by this weekend won't likely have downstream effects until early December
