Oh no! I sincerely hope he will do everything possible to keep him in tip top shape. He has such a strong heart...i just know he can pull through it. His passion for life is quite obvious. Get well soon

He is definitely under the weather right now with a cold as well as his normal medical challenges. Firehead has given a little detail on those and I feel no need to go any further with them. What I will comment on, so there really is no misunderstanding of what is going on is the totality of why he can't be here right now.

As, firehead has told us, Streetsoldier is basically bedridden a large part of the time due to his illness. Now think about this for a while. What would one due if they basically have no outside social outlet available to them due to illness, especially one who has an obviously high intellect in need of an outlet? Watch TV all day? That is not an outlet and to say the least can be BORING!! So, Streetsoldier has found a ready outlet in the message boards on the internet. As any of you know the internet is rife with persons of intellect willing to discuss issues, cuss others, make political statements(right or wrong)in whose eyes?), etc. etc. Unfortunately, this type of outlet is the only real outlet he has and when he gets into a "discussion" concernng some subjects, especially one's such as politics and everything that goes along with that he, like many others feels he "must respond" either in rebuttal or further explanation of his "stand". Due to the nature of his challenges this is fraught with the possibility and/or probability of stress related illness taking an even bigger toll on him in addition to his current health problems. Because of this very strong need for a social outlet, the basics of the situation are that every time he passes the computer he "must" sit down and begin to read and respond. Since this can and has caused some physical problems of late due to stress brought on by "passion"(my words) he is being forced to stay away from the computer to control his stress level and his medical condition. He asks that all of you understand and be patient. As MF says in his post, health considerations must come first for Streetsoldier at this time as they should for all of us, so we owe it to him to continue to be ourselves with or without him here and to be understanding and in fact supportive of what he has done for himself and his family.

I hope Bill doesnt take too many things posted here and other places to heart so much, as we all get peeved over some things said and we want to lay it out there for all to see, but words expressed here in chat is just that....words. I hope in the future that he can 'deal' with this and not become ill or have his BP boil over things mentioned. I know its easy to become steamed over a few comments, but you have to take a step back and take a deep breath and not let a few bad apples ruin your day, or health for that matter.

That is exactly what Bill is doing Rob. Basically it is "doctors" orders as it is not as easy for his body to control the BP and the results of it as it is ours.

Yeah..I know that Bill has had a few encounters with others on the other boards, as we all have. I just hope he can overcome getting too fired up over things said and letting a few people bring him down. He'll be back...we all want him back here....we all feel like a piece of the puzzle is missing when someone of his stature is not around.

I hope you get better Bill. Sometimes a break from the boards is something we could all use every now and then. Don't rush yourself, though. We'll understand!
