Ivan 10 years ago today in Pensacola

Rode out Ivan's eastern eyewall in west Pensacola. That was a very long night listening to the howling wind, crashing sounds and things hitting the house. Then we went 13 days without power. One of the things I remember is the following night the skies were clear and since there was no power within a 100 miles you could see every star in the sky.

LOL Indeed. I clearly remember it affecting Barbados with very strong winds (which blew off some roofs) just weeks after my Dad died in that year.
