I think you meant 9N 30W and I do believe this is being discussed in another thread

Actually this area is further west than the area mentioned by the NHC. I circled the area below. There is quite a bit of spin. The latest GFS shows this getting absorbed (or merging with) by a low pressure area further to the east (the blob south of the Cape Verde islands).

There is still spin in this area (subject needs updating).

It is the area of disturbed weather west of the NHC area (the first one if you look east of the Leewards). Wide-Atlantic view so you can see both areas. Suddenly the MDR has really come alive.

Seems to be fighting with 93L for the rights to development and seems to be failing as 93L is taking over IMO

:uarrow: Off topic, but there is a pretty evident spin now with 94L in the Western GoM.

If it's the area of weather to which I believe you're referring, Windward Islands would be more accurate. East of the Lesser Antilles would be fine too, since that encompasses both the Leeward and Windward Islands. The Leewards are the northern portion of the Lesser Antilles (not to be confused with the Leeward Antilles).

This is the area mention in the eight pm discussion that has a 1010 low at 10 N 47 west , looks like we have to keep a close eye on this one in the lesser Antilles.

Okay, now I'm confused! I thought this thread was about the area of persistent convection currently near 48W:

Was I mistaken?

By the way guys, due to the arrival of this active twave... our Pro Mets of Meteo-France Guadeloupe will issue this afternoon an yellow alert for strong showers and tstorms while Martinica is already in yellow for thus the same risk. Conditions should deteriorate during the next couple of hours till tommorow. I advice our others islanders of the EC to be vigilant once again!
I will keep your informed if anything happens. :)
Regards.

TROPICAL WEATHER DISCUSSION
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
205 PM EDT MON SEP 14 2015

A TROPICAL WAVE IS ANALYZED NEAR 60W FROM 11N TO 20N MOVING
THROUGH THE LEEWARD AND WINDWARD ISLANDS AND APPROACHING THE
EASTERN CARIBBEAN. SOUNDING DATA FROM YESTERDAY AND THIS MORNING
FROM ACROSS THE LEEWARD AND WINDWARD ISLANDS ARE DOCUMENTING A
THE APPROACH AND PASSAGE TO THE LOWER TO MID LEVEL AXIS OF THE
TROPICAL WAVE. MOST OF THE MOISTURE IS LAGGING TO THE EAST OF
THIS AXIS WITH REGIONAL RADAR INDICATING AREAS OF SHOWERS
MAINLY NORTH OF BARBADOS AND EAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS.
