St Maarten is 18.1 63.1. Trying to figure out if Danny is going to come close enough to give us some rain?
Any guesses?

We will see Barbara Let's hope that the northern part of Danny could bring nice showers. Keeping our fingers crossed. If Danny could be a rain event most of the EC will be glad for sure. Interresting hours ahead.

Nice image you posted NDG. Danny's exposed LLC in full view. Still although exposed, it is a vigorous LLC .

Station 41300 moments before Danny passed over it. Nothing too impressive on the west side. 40 minutes till the next measurement and that will likely be on the east side.

Too bad there is no report of it from 16z which is when Danny was closer to the buoy.

Racing west it will find a lot more shear in the Caribbean, the models that were forecasting rapid intensification tracked north of the islands.

Danny held out well for a while, but that llc better develop some convection or he is going to be a goner.

Public indecency . He's going one way, his convection wants to go another. He had a great run though, one of the bigger surprises of the past few years.

Even though Danny still has a low level vortex (which is becoming more diffuse) , it probably doesn't have a closed ground-relative low level wind center anymore, or if it still has one, it's tiny. You probably won't see any of the METAR sites in the NE Caribbrean switch around to NW as Danny's vortex passes.

I'm sure the system will be maintained well into tonight, given the T.S. watches and warning up, which is prudent, because of the strong winds still ongoing on the north and east sides of the low level vortex.
