As noted on the models thread there seems to be a small swirl in the NW GOM.

I'm not sure I see a swirl, but the Gulf is starting to look a little ripe to me. Or maybe it's just the local media's coverage of the 10th anniversary of Katrina getting me a little squirrelly.

Whatever swirl there is appears to be onshore in south LA. Shows up pretty clearly on visible loop.

Yea I saw that, should be getting close to being over water again. Don't expect much out of it except some increased shower activity along the northern Gulf Coast.

I was looking to far east. Has a nice rotation over western Louisiana. Don't think it is at the surface.

Those clouds are dropping intermittent rain on us down here. I even saw a double rainbow earlier. They're bringing a bit of a cool breeze with them, which is very welcome.
