next year is on my radar for a nasty hurricane season with high numbers and these things may not come to pass but need to be watched
That map coupled with a possible La Nina next year could be a return to the +AMO we've had before this year and a year like 1998, 2008 could happen or a 2010 type year where everything recurves away from the US but heres the monkey wrench in the works with a possible retention of the +PDO which would make 1998 top analog so we'll see what happens going into next year

Possible La Niña, and technically the opposite year and season. Dead Pacific and crazy Atlantic. Unless the Pacific ends up like 1988, fairly normal
