2015 Pouches

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sun Jul 19, 2015 2:21 pm

Is pouch time again and I am making this general thread for pouches to not have folks make a thread at this Talking Tropics forum for every tropical wave that is coming out of Africa or in the MDR area. This thread will be good for the members to post about the tropical waves/pouches and the title of thread will be updated accordingly.I know what this season will go thru with El Nino etc but you never know if one of the pouches or more than one finds a small sweet spot in MDR like what Erika did in 1997.

Nothing of interest from the pouches on 7/20/15.Pouch 09L inside West Africa looks the same as pouch 08L in front when it was inside the continent but the same fate of convection going down will occur. The two pouches ahead will bring scattered showers to the Eastern Caribbean islands that need it badly as the drought rages on.

This is a tropical disturbance worthy of following i believe.

GFS/CMC were hinting at an almost-closed low in the last week of July about a week or so ago, this could be the wave they were showing.
