Something appears to be twisting up down there.


Might just be satellite illusion.

Been watching that one too. At the moment movement appears more northward.

That is a tropical wave in the SW Caribbean, which is moving west, which is interacting with a trough axis from the Upper Low to its northeast over the Southern Bahamas, causing upper diffluence to enhance convection down there in that region.

No development expected, until at least the wave moves into the Eastern Pacific.

The Caribbean has been a graveyard so far this season. As the other posters have been saying, might develop in the EPAC. Is there any models that pick up on this system?
