There is a cool front that's supposed to come down on either Saturday or Sunday evening and possibly settle along the coast too. Don't know if that may help trigger something, but right now, not seeing anything on the models.

Yesterday there was quite a pronounced circulation to the movement of the storms. Today it is not so prevalent.

The northern Gulf over towards the Florida peninsula are the most favorable places in the basin shear-wise. Of course you need a good Tropical Disturbance to take advantage of the conditions, but it seems Tropical Cyclone development from frontal boundaries in the Gulf happen only every so often. Overall though conditions are really quite unfavorable for Tropical development throughout the Atlantic as a whole.

Strictly speaking, there's no such thing as a cool front.Pearl River wrote:There is a cool front that's supposed to come down on either Saturday or Sunday evening and possibly settle along the coast too. But I understand what you mean.

Looks like the remnants of an upper level low that dove into Mexico is pumping moisture north from the Bay of Campeche.
The front hasn't dug down over the Gulf yet, they usually don't dig very far south this time of year unless there is a surface low in the gulf.
Probably just Pareidolia if you see anything organizing this soon.

Nothing wrong with expanding one's vocabulary
the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist, as in considering the moon to have human features

Might that suggest a lucid articulation of a "wish-cast"?
