A couple little showers on the way to work. Hope this not another rain bust for DFW. Looks like the north is getting hammered though.

Seems like a bust here, but my rainfall flows to Lake Livingston rather than Lake Ray Hubbard so I'm not too upset to see myself get shafted in favor of Collin and Grayson Counties - sorry Houstonfolk ;)

Looking at the satellite loop, this system (creating all of the recent flood watches around here) appears to be tapping some deep tropical moisture up from way down in the latitudes of Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

A great rain shield building to the SW of the Metroplex. Some good rains in an area of the state that can really use it! :D

It's pouring in McKinney right now. I had 1.10 in my rain gauge this morning. Adding to that for sure.

Yeah, anyone saying bust for DFW should check out the radar to the SW right now. :rain:

Anyone else seeing the crazy spin on some of these showers this morning???!!!!!! Atmosphere is juiced apparently.....Happy Spring Folks!!!

Addendum: I have NEVER seen a radar display like this in all my seasons of wx watching!!! The showers are "rolling" with the spin in the atmosphere on nws radar out of EWX. This is a very nerdy moment, but I have never seen this with non severe storms!!!!

Out walking the pup before it rains. As we walked, the wind changed around to come from the north and it picked up. Actually got a bit chilly.

Sure is lovely watching the cold front move through here. Radar picking up on a lot of scattered activity throughout Central Texas.

Yeah, I walked outside the office around 1pm. It was downright chilly in short sleeves!
:cold:
Looking forward to more development.
:rain: :lightning: :rain:

The local weather guy here mentioned heaviest rains over Highland Lakes, exactly where it is needed.

The skies have quickly changed here with the front's passage. It was cooling slowly beforehand, but a few minutes ago there was a significant gust of wind and the skies darkened dramatically. Hoping to hear thunder with these storms; I've forgotten what spring rain sounds like! :D

Looks like there is another mass of rain in the moisture stream southwest of Del Rio in Mexico moving into Texas.

Yep and that's the "gist" of this event ... spokes of vorticity rotating around the upper low and spinning up rain/storms. We'll see a few of these before the actual ULL comes across the state tomorrow.
