Very curious how this is going to play out in the northern Austin metro. Temps are dropping quickly. My PWS is showing 41 already and steadily declining.

Have to agree. The temperatures have dropped quicker than expected, at least that's my impression. I'm not saying the front is more potent than forecast, but the onset of the temperatures does seem to be quicker. I've gone from 67 to 41 in a little less than 4 hours. It will take a pretty considerable reduction of that rate to hold off the freezing temperatures until midnight.

It looks like more storms have developed in the past hour behind the initial band down there. The radar still looks good for a significant winter storm, at least to me.
Currently getting sleet here in Cedar Hill.
